It can mean a lot of things, but at the center of it all it means you have a full willingness to participate in change. That means being coachable, being willing to step out of your comfort zone and embrace a new style of living.

Jennifer embraced this idea of commitment which is why she has been able to achieve so many results in such a short period of time. “I decided to participate in Balanced Habits KICK START because I wanted to become stronger and gain my confidence back after breaking my leg & finally be able to wear heels again! I [also] wanted to be able to keep up with my kids & grand kids, and have more energy to travel with my husband back & forth to our new home in Kauai. And lastly, I wanted to become confident in a bathing suit!


By participating in KICK START, I was able to meet new friends & have a small community of supportive, encouraging people around me who I could work out and go on walks with. Accountability was key!


I have “dieted” my entire life from probably age 13 to now at 56! Everything from crash diets to Weight Watchers, Lindora, HCG shots, low carb, & everything in between. You name it, I’ve done it! I have never kept the weight off. Balanced Habits isn’t a “diet” however. It is a way of life, a simple way of eating, no matter if I’m home or traveling, making food for my family or going out!

The thing that I learned that has been so instrumental was finding out the reason why I shouldn’t snack in between my four meals a day. This teaches my body to use my stored fat for it’s fuel, instead of me constantly “grazing” throughout my day. Everything made so much sense!”
