KICKSTART Success Story: Jennifer

Bottom line: it is a great program and I am so happy I participated!!  


Meet Super-Mom, Jennifer.  A wife, mother, and overall a very busy individual.  Being a Mom with two kids under the age of 3 and one of them being a toddler, you can imagine her eating habits sometimes got left behind. Determined to reign her health back in, Jennifer followed our 28-Day KICK START and lost 17 pounds of pure FAT while gaining back her lean muscle. This program is specially designed to change the way your body looks (and feels) in a sustainable way that makes it so simple to be successful. If she can do it, so can you!


Here is what Jennifer had to say:


“I am beyond impressed with the results I saw during my participation in the Kickstart program.  I am currently on maternity leave with an almost 4-month-old and I have a 2-year-old at home as well.  Over the last two and a half years I have devoted very little time to exercising and while I thought I was health conscious in my cooking and food choices, I had no understanding about portion size or what a balanced meal looked like.  I was caught in a cycle of eating constantly throughout the day and never feeling satisfied. I will admit after the Kickstart orientation I was nervous about how I would be able to adhere to the eating plan. But I made a commitment to myself to try my best during the 28-day period, so I journaled everything, followed all the recommended portions and meal timing, and drank a ton of water throughout each day.  I also signed up for the personal training offered with the Kickstart, which was amazing in itself, and I attended the weekly boot camp sessions.


There were a few difficult days where I felt very tired and hungry, a few days where I really struggled to find the time to put my meals together, and a lot of days where my muscles were sore all over!  But I stuck with it because I wanted to see a change. I wanted to feel healthier and stronger and happier. I also really wanted to break my bad habit of constantly snacking. I treated each day like a mini challenge and if I completed my training or a boot camp class or I just stuck with the meal plan then I felt really happy at the end of the day.  And not only was I happy most days, I also felt completely satisfied with my meals. Which I still can’t believe because I use to eat so many more calories and always felt hungry. Also, to my surprise, I was losing weight! I started losing weight the first week but it wasn’t until the third week that I (and my family) could see physical changes. By the end of the program, I had surpassed my weight loss goal and I gained a lot of confidence in my ability to control how I looked and felt.  I am proud that I stuck with the program each day, I am proud that I can lift heavier weights, I am proud that I can fit into clothes at the bottom of my drawer, and I am proud that I am eating healthy well balanced meals that give my body the energy it needs to take care of my kids every day!


I am very happy that I signed up for Kickstart and excited that I can easily continue the good habits I learned from it beyond the program.”
